Let's see....I haven't been up to much for the past two weeks. On Thursday, the 11th, a small group of friends and I went out to Aka sushi down on Water street. I had treated them all to sushi and we chatted and got kind of caught up on one another. After dinner we all drove back into Portland and took up couch space at the coffee shop until 11-ish. By that time, my parents were enjoying themselves in the Bahamas. The following Friday night, Candice and I went to the country club and enjoyed one of our long talks in the hot tub. She was going to spend the night at my house. So after the hot tub, we went over to her boyfriend's house. He made us dinner. Then Candice and I went to HEB to get a chocolate cake and zoomed to Blockbuster to rent movies. At my house, we watched Monster and Homeroom. After the intense dramas, we felt that maybe it was time for a Comedy. So we popped in Sideways, and about halfway into it, we were falling asleep. So we decided to stop the movies for tonight and get some sleep. We fell asleep around 5 or 6 am.

After all that, I didn't do much of anything. Just went to work and fill out the book and input work orders into the computer. My parents came home Monday, the 15th. My mom left for Dallas to spend time with my aunt on the 17th. I wanted to go, but my dad wanted me to stay here and do the office paperwork. I was not happy with that decision, but what can I do, right? So I drive her and my other aunt to the airport. Last Friday, I went to a country concert with Candice and her boyfriend. I'm not a country music person, but I just had to get away from my dad. We got at the concert at 7pm since that was when the gates open. We were there for an hour and decided that this was too boring and we were too hungry. We left before the band even came to the stage. We were that bored. We went to McDonald's then to the coffee shop.
Oh, that afternoon, before I went to the concert, I dropped by Realms Con that was being held at the Ramada. It was okay. I didn't expect it to be big, but I didn't expect it to be so small. OH well, this is their first year. And it wasn't all bad. Saturday I went back to the con with my friend Chris to watch an independent film called "Dead Texas". Not "Dead in Texas". It was still in the production stages. But from what the guys had put together, it was funny. I'm sure once they polish it, it'll be okay. I didn't go to the con Sunday, I got stuck doing chores all day.

This week, my sorority is busy planning on what to do about recruitment. Today was "Meet the Greeks". We sat outside and talked to girls that had moved in to the apartments and dorms on campus. Telling them about us and getting to know them a little. There's one girl that I got to talk to a lot. The majority of the girls like her, and so do I. We hope to see her again during the recruitment. I'm also starting school on Wednesday. I'm going to Bath & Body Works tomorrow to change my availability. I hope that I'll still be able to stay there. But with all my sorority things going on, I doubt that I'll be able to. That sucks. I was just really getting into it too. I've only been there for three months. I really don't want to quit. Hopefully my boss will be okay with it. Anyways, I'll find out tomorrow.
